NOTE: We have to give mad props to the Penn State Nittany Lions for ending a 13-game losing streak, the longest current in NCAA Division 1 and the second longest in team history, with a 74-72 upsest of Iowa.

The victory doubles the Lions' win total to 2 Big Ten games and should help ensure head coach Ed DeChellis another two year extension to his contract. Congratulations ED !!!!

Once again conference tournaments dot the landscape as NCAA teams jockey for position and advancement to the field of 65.

The first round saw two upsets as No. 6 seed VMI prevailed at Liberty and No. 5 UNC Asheville won at Coastal Carolina while top seeds Winthrop and High Point advanced.

Updates and apologies

We would like to apologize to all of our readers who have always taken the time to stop by and check out the updates on Bubbleteams.com and the blog.

Unfortunately, due to some MAJOR computer problems and internet connectivity issues, we have been unable to post many of the blogs and/or update the man page if Bubbleteams.com for several months.

However, after much labor and effort, we are hopeful that these issues have been resolved and we look forward to giving you some of the most updated and accurate information on the conference championships starting next week and the selection process for the NCAA Tournament (Selection Sunday is a mere 2 weeks away).

Once again, we hope you will take the time to stop by and check out our information, our links, and our predictions (some of the MOST accurate on the web since our start 3 years ago).
